Update the picture Mobile phone evolution

[edit]

Hi, this picture is very old, from 2006. In this 8 years many phones were invented and the smartphones are missing. I thought that it would be nice if you can update it. With best regards --Majeew (talk) 11:57, 24 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Number 236

[edit]
The image file with #236 on it

I notice you recently removed the "Number 236" category from the image file, and instead applied the "Number 236" cateogry to the category for s/n 1757. I would keep it the original way (tag images with number, not the category), since the same car (category) can have many different race numbers in different images. @Ketil3: Hi! Thanks for contributing valuable, historic images to Wikimedia Commons! I cannot see that I have edited that image, nor that it has been in that cat. Was there another one you had in mind? I added number 236 to the mentioned category though, popular cats tends to become owerflowed after awhile, thats why I prefer to to link categories with groups of photos instead. Also, I find properly sorted categories easier to navigate through than random named images. The current number of images is low though, so I'll add your image to Cat:Number 236 on racing cars. User Talk Setup

[edit]

Hi. I appreciate your actions to reduce Category:User talk pages where template include size is exceeded. However, I don't know where you're getting your includeonly syntax, but you've got it wrong. See this edit for the right way, or simply place {{subst:User:Jeff G./usertalksetup}} (from what you see in bold on this page) at the top of the user's page. Also, in my experience, minthreadsleft 20 is rather liberal (I use 0).   — 🇺🇦Jeff G. please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 04:28, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Jeff G.: Thanks for cleaning up the code! I used Miszas list of examples, with a few modifications, it worked including it on my own talk, but it somehow messed up when testing it on a few others… Minthreadsleft 0 is fine when archiving the editorial chitchat of regulars, but could be problematic for the infrequent visitors who do bulk uploads and dissapears again. Also I fear 30 days notice might be abit short, even 90 days could remove enough to make the templates work again. Its easy to scale down afterwards, if too lean. It is harder to scale up if too agressive. Just my thoughts though… Anders (talk) 22:32, 28 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
