Canarias es un archipiélago atlántico situado en el noroeste de África que forma además una de las diecisiete comunidades autónomas de España. El archipiélago está compuesto por siete islas: El Hierro, La Gomera, La Palma y Tenerife que forman la provincia de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, y Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura y Lanzarote que forman la provincia de Las Palmas, además de seis islotes que se llaman Alegranza, Isla de Lobos, La Graciosa, Montaña Clara, Roque del Este y Roque del Oeste, pertenecientes todos ellos a la provincia de Las Palmas.
